This
is a tour especially created for beer lovers. It gives the participants
a true cross-cut of beer tastes in the most famous Central European breweries
of Austria, Czech Republic and Germany such as Augustiner Bräu, Pilsner,
Aktienbräu, Ceske Budejovice and Hofbräu.
And it ends with a visit to the famous Oktoberfest “Wies’n”
in Munich.

FRANKFURT, Germany. Pick-up at Frankfurt airport by private coach. Travel
east to Bayreuth (Northern Bavaria) – famous for Richard Wagner
festival and beer; with a stop in KULMBACH for lunch and taste the local
brew; then on to BAYREUTH and tour the Büttnerei Museum of the Maisel
Brewery (the Guinness book of world records lists this as the largest
museum of its kind.)
In Bayreuth check into hotel - dinner at the hotel restaurant. |
| Day 3 |
Breakfast
at the hotel, then check out .
In the morning a visit to the famous catacombs of the "Aktien"
brewery, eat lunch there and taste their Pils beer. Then onward east by
coach through the hills of the Fichtel Mountains to the Czech Republic
and PLZEN (Pilsen). Visit the Pilsner Urquell Brewery and have an early
dinner in the Na Splice tavern inside the brewery walls.
Travel eastward to PRAGUE and check into hotel. |

4 |
Breakfast
at the hotel.
A city tour and tour of the Hradschin – Prague Castle will begin
the program. For lunch stop at Prague’s oldest beer hall, the U
Fleku (one beer incl.). Then check into hotel, some free time in the afternoon
to explore Prague on own. In the evening attend a folklore show with dinner
show at the Marcanu. |

Breakfast
at hotel and check out.
Tour begins with a "coffee and cake" cruise along the Vltava
River (Moldau like the famous symphony by Smetana). Afterwards a short
walking tour through the old city. Board the bus and head south through
the Bohemian countryside to CESKE BUDEJOVICE for a tour of the Budvar
Brewery (original Budweiser – Then some family members left for
the USA and took the name along and registered it - now the Czechs may
not use their own name anymore!!) -a beautiful drive past the famous carp
ponds of the area. Lunch on own at the Butcher’s shop restaurant
and brewery. After lunch continue on southwest into Austria to the beautiful
Baroque city of SALZBURG . Check-in to our four star hotel in Salzburg
and head to the famous Augustiner Bräu for a Festhaus style dinner.

6 |
Breakfast
at hotel.
This morning a walking tour through Old Salzburg including the famous
cathedral, Mozart Birth place and residence (250th anniversary of his
birth), lunch on own at the typically Salzburgian K&K Restaurant with
the afternoon at leisure to explore this wonderful city. Dinner at hotel
restaurant. |
| Day 7 |
After
breakfast at the hotel check out.
Board the coach to travel back into Germany to o BERCHTESGADEN for a visit
to Hitler’s Eagles Nest (weather permitting). From there we head
to the famous ANDECH’s Kloster (Monastery) for a late lunch and
their world famous beer). Then for the last lap the coach travels west
to MUNICH - capital of Bavaria).
Check into hotel and eat dinner at hotel restaurant. |
Day
8 |
Breakfast at hotel.
AM free for shopping or sightseeing on own
Noon – transfer to Oktoberfest “Wies’n” (grounds)
for a traditional lunch and lots of beer. The afternoon is for strolling
around on your own at this unique event. Meeting with tour leader at agreed
upon time and place to return to hotel. |

Breakfast
at hotel and check out.
Then transfer to the Munich airport for return flight to the USA. |
